Office Report – February 2014
Again, this month, the phone has been very busy and we had a request from a gentleman from South Africa for a visitor’s packet, we have had several calls for relocation packets or names of our realty companies and the rental situation. Also, we are getting calls about the employment situation.
We have been working very hard on the Membership drive and, at this writing, have 78 members this year. We have 59 businesses, 11 Associate Ambassadors, and 10 Non Profit. Mike has gone above and beyond to promote the Chamber and is doing a great job. This month, March, we will be visiting with those members from last year that have not paid their dues and get them on board. We have new businesses that have joined – Joe’s Wireless, Allure Salon, and Fred A. Lockwood & Co CPA.
We also have a gentleman that is anxious to assist us on our Tourism committee. Mr. Rich Hoffman. Mr. Hoffman has experience working in tourism in Crawford and we welcome him to the committee. Jean Hess is the Chairperson and needs all the help she can get. Tourism is a very important part of the Chamber and a value to the Business Community! I look forward to the great things that can and will happen to draw visitors to our community!
